HORIZON 2020, the largest research & innovation program, the main funding instrument in Europe, will be presented at Vilnius Innovation Forum 2013 “Innovation Drift”.
The session will focus on the new initiatives and instruments for accelerating business innovation, creating industrial leadership and competitive frameworks. Later on the session will continue with the presentation of SME instrument in HORIZON 2020.
Attendees of Vilnius Innovation Forum will be able to discover the opportunities to be funded in HORIZON 2020. It has been specifically designed to attract SMEs. A single set of rules, an easy to use cost reimbursement model, and single point of access for participants – these simplifications of application and funding process were made to encourage SMEs to take advantage of HORIZON 2020.
Horizon 2020 is the financial instrument implementing the Innovation Union, a Europe 2020 flagship initiative aimed at securing Europe's global competitiveness. More than €86 billion programme will be officially launched in December 2013 and will be running from 2014 to 2020. The EU’s new programme for research and innovation is part of the drive to create new growth and jobs in Europe.
